Such a gorgeous day

It's beautiful out and I'm stuck inside at work. At least it's a short day. It's probably very deceptive looking, the sun is shining but it's in the mid 50's. Quite a change and a welcome relief from the 90's we have had. It's Football Weather! Enough about the weather.

I've started adding things to my blog. I'm having trouble getting my blinkies up, but I'm sure that I'll find someone on Hello to help when I get home. So I added links that I find essential for scrappin and sometimes even my peace of mind. I'm sure that I'll be adding a zillion more before I'm through, but these are some of my faves and I thought I'd share why with you. If you have been digiscrapping for any time at all then you show know why Ikeagoddess and Selena are listed. They put out fab freebie lists everyday. They do all the hard work while we reap the rewards. Unfortunately Selena lost her father recently, something I know a little about since the 6 month anniversary of my father is coming up. I know that we all send Selena our love & prayers as she goes through this incredibly painful time. Kristine's Place & Kim B's designs I found through being on Heather Manning's CT. All 3 are designers over at DSO and are a part of the Humpday Hunnies that put out great freebies on Wed. Kim B is a riot and her blog always has her latest antics on it. Raspberry Road Designs by Susan is a terrific blog where she gives away complete sets of beautiful, beautiful kits. I know a lot of people are gonna cry if/when she starts selling her designs. Kerry is my main cheerleader and self esteem booster. She is single handily responsible for my being on 2 CT. She sees the good in everyone. And last but definite not least, Scrappin Hillbilly aka Fantacy. I really credit her for my sticking with digiscrappin. She's the first person at SBB to contact me and give me some secrets (ok, not so secret - FREEBIES) that newbies need to know. She has been supportive of me and is just as sweet as sodie pop. She's also a darn great designer. She just started selling her fab designs at OAKS and that is keeping her hopping. But she always has time if I bug her on Hello. We may get a chance to meet next month at the Circleville Pumpkin show. I truly hope so.

I know I've missed a lot sites and people's blogs that I visit on a regular basis. I'll get around to them soon. I'm sure I've bored you enough. Off to figure out blinkies.

GO BUCKS!!!!!!

add on after inital post. Boy I did forget some great sites. Lindsay Jane Designs usually has a new freebie daily. Lindsay's freebies are great and she does a good variety of designs. Love her stuff. Mrs. Miles also does great freebies, but I really like the extras on her blog. Love the history lesson she found - it's an on this day in history post. Scrapbook-Bytes blog will fill you in on what's going on at the site I call home. I hope to also give you a heads up on stuff from there. They have a fantastic gallery, terrific challenges and a store to die for. If you haven't been there lately, go check it out

Wow I have a blog!

And it was easy to set up. Now comes the hard part. Getting it set to where I'm happy with it and coming up with stuff to blog about. Now there's no shortage of things, but I'm sure that you all don't want to read about the old lady I work with that drives me nuts or the idiot that cut me off on my way to work. Nope, I don't think that's gonna draw a crowd. But then again, who says I'm gonna draw a crowd anyway.

Why did I set up a blog? Well, it's the thing to do now, but that's really not why I did it. This month I've been set up on 2 incredible designers creative teams and this might be a good way to let everyone know what's new with them. Plus it may keep it straight for me too. The cool thing, other than the fact that these designers saw something in me to give me a chance to help showcase their talents, is that they have different styles but produce totally awesome products. Once I figure out how to navigate this place, I'll have some previews of their work and maybe a layout or two of my own with their products. There's so much going on in the scrapping community that it's hard to keep up with everything. I certainly can't, but I can tell you what's going on in the little part of the world where I hang out.

Among other topics you'll get here are my other addictions - Buckeye Football and Nascar. This weekend my beloved Buckeyes are traveling out to the Northwest to take on their first real challenge of the season - The Washington Huskies. Let's hope they come back home with a W in the column. We don't want to be like that team up north, but Karma could bite us all, since we all seemed to come down hard on that teams 2 loses. It's also the start of the Race for the Cup in Nascar. My main driver, Kasey Kahne didn't make the chase, he kinda had a really bad year. But my other fantasy drivers Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth & Kyle Busch made it, so we'll see what happens.

Wow I didn't think I'd have anything to say, guess I was wrong. But I'm sure it's nothing you wanted to read. I'm going to get things set up and see how it goes before broadcasting it's here. So this long post may never get read, but at least I know in my heart I gave it a good shot.

Go Bucks and happy scrappin,
Diane
