TGIS

Thank God it's Saturday! Even though I still have to go into work today, it's a short day- only 4 hours and it's OT. I had a few minutes this morning, so I thought I'd go ahead and get this going. The thing is, not too many of my regulars have posted their blogs yet. Guess they believe in sleeping in on Saturday mornings. I envy them. :)

Look what Yen sent me. Isn't she just the sweetest!!!!! You should check out her blog - here Not only is she sweet, but she's an awesome photographer, a fabulous scrapper, wonderful mommy who's also preggers now but her blog is wonderful. There's so much on it. Don't just read the first post, read them all. I'm going to think on who to pass this along to. I know a few, but want to make sure I don't forget anyone. Check back tomorrow to see who I nominate.

I was able to work on a couple of layouts. I've had such creative block lately it seems and I've not been happy with anything I create. I'm still not sure about these, but since they're in the gallery at SBB, I've taken the plunge. Thought I'd share them here to.

This one is for my CT gig over at Scrappers Daily Dose This months sponsor is Traci Murphy Designs. I love these rich red papers, and the flower doodle really is cool. The swirls are by

Dani B Designs and are just one of the many things I was able to pick out from her store with my Queen of Chatterbox prize. Also the page tear is by Zmapft! (which no matter what, I can never

seem to spell right. Her stuff is always wonderful to work with. You can get it at SBB also.

Flergs (megan) left a comment yesterday that she didn't know what a Buckeye was. I'm sure that there are several people who don't. The Buckeye is the official tree of the State of Ohio and it has a nut that falls off it. For some reason, way back when college football first started, The Ohio State University chose that as it's mascot. So when I say I'm a Buckeye, I'm a proud supported of the Ohio State football team. (They have another night game tonight vs. Purdue). Now I grew up in Michigan, my family still lives there and are big U of M fans. We did a family photo with them in U of M gear and me & my BF in our Ohio State shirts. My niece looked just so adorable in her little cheerleader outfit, that I could easily overlook the colors on it. hehehehe Anyway, the layout above was made with Miss Tiina's Vibrant Pack papers, also one of the MANY items chosen as part of my prize pack from SBB. The swirls are by Lori Wiley - Diamante Designs, another goodie.

Here's a list of freebies, some new and some from yesterday. Click on the preview to go to their blogs. Don't forget to leave some lovin.

A small chat list

So my plans for the weekend were abruptly changed. I know that there are several chats going on this weekend. So I decided to do a chat list. Now it was easy to find the ones going on at the communities that I participate in, but finding info on chats at other sites wasn't easy at all. If you host or attend a chat that you would like added to my list email me at carjaziscraps at gmail "dot" com. I'll be happy to edit and add to this list. Kelli of Tallula Moon Designs is holding her 1st My Favorite Things Chat over at 3 Scrapateers on Sat. night. The preview says 7 pm (PST), but's actually at 6 PM PST. We've got some communication issues going on between designer and site. That's the funny thing with Kelli and I, we live half a country apart. I see everything in EST and she of course is on Pacific. So it's 9 EST, 8 CST & 6PST. I made her a little chat participation freebie ad, if you like what you see, stop by and say hi. It's a great kit. This weeks topic is My Favorite Heritage Photo.

Monday Night at 9 over at DSO is the bi-monthly chat sponsored by Darlene. As you can see, there's a great posting bonus. This chat is always hysterical. Click the preview to go to DSO to get more info. Oh and don't ya just love the dancing dorks? I snagged this from Kristine's blog. I think it's way too funny.

Weekend chat's over at SBB include (sorry no previews at this time, but the posting bonuses are ALWAYS fab - check it out)

Friday Night Flip Flop Crop with Sarah Vandyke at 11 PM EST

Color Challenge Crop with Jodi Perry Monday afternoon at 2 EST

Monday Night Madness Sketch Crop with Sarah Vandyke at Midnight EST

I've been trying to find current freebies for you. Here are some new ones from today's blogs.
Click the preview to go to designers blog.

I'm the only one in the office today (yea! peace & quite) and I'm starting to get a little busy. So I'm gonna go ahead an post this. I Will try to update freebies as I find more. Hope you all enjoy your weekend.
Until next time, scrap happy!

See what boredom can do.....

Ok, wasn't really in a scrapping kind of mood, nothing was working in the forums and I just couldn't leave any love. I had gotten something uploaded from my photobucket acct. and then something caught my eye. It was a Snoopy Halloween thingy. I tried and tried to get it to fit on my blog along the side. As you can see it's not there. I ended up browsing through phtotbucket and picking out some stuff I kinda liked or thought was funny. Once I got them all here, I thought wow, I wonder how this would effect the copywrite and digital piracy issues. As you can see, I kept them all here. Now my question is are photos (and other stuff like this) that are available on sites like photobucket without copywrite issues? Am I breaking the "digital piracy" code? How can you tell who to actually credit on stuff like this. Everything on this page is on photobucket at least 3 different times with as many posters. Now, I understand if I had seem something scraprelated or that could have been done by a scrap designer, I would have searched out the correct credits or left it alone. But didn't someone work hard on all of these? Don't they deserve the credit? Was it just passed along in an email, someone saw it, liked it and took it for their email? Ok. enough with my rambelings. Go ahead and look at all the others I found. You know you want to. If I get too much response that I'm out of line by leaving them here, I will go ahead and pull the post. I'm bored and in a bad mood.

Until next time, scrap happy.
