Hiya!
Well I wouldn't say that the overlay freebie was a huge success, but there were a few downloads and a few more hits on the blog for yesterday. I was hoping it would get picked up on a freebie list, but I would say that I don't have something configured right on my blog. It's still available, if you missed it, scroll down to yesterdays post. I want to thank everyone who left comments on it and if you downloaded it and actually use it, I would love, love, love to see it. Give me a hollar. Also want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and comments for my cousin & her BF. It's gonna be a long road for them to travel, with many uphill battles.

Not a whole lot going on in my little corner of the scrapping world. I'm way behind on all the challenges at the different sites and my CT layouts. I hit a bit of creative block and nothing seems to turn out the way I want it to. Ever had that happen to you? What did you do to knock yourself out of it?

Let's see, I know a secret. shhhh I can't tell what it is yet. But I will be leaving little clues along the way. There's gonna be a little bit of fun, no wait a LOT of fun with this and a little something for everyone who emails me with a guess. Lazy Sunday and a little freebie from me this time

Well it's been quite the lazy Sunday here. I've been trying without much success to get my laundry done. I guess if you look under lazy in the dictionary, you'll find my picture. We'll the laundry will be there tomorrow and probably the day after. :) I scrapped a little, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I've neglected to pay it forward with the thoughtful blogger award that Yen sent my way on Friday. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record with my nominations. But I would like to send this to Andrea of Boyerville Scraps (thanks so much for the kit you sent) and Cate. Both have been faithful readers pretty much since I started this a few weeks ago and I consider them both wonderful new friends.

I'd also like to mention Heather Manning who also got this from Dawne over at LadyBug Graphix and also Susan over at Raspberry Road Designs, who will probably never see this, but I think she deserves it anyway for her unending generosity and big heart for designing her freebies each day.

I corrected and cleaned up the overlay I did last week and think it's ready for general viewing. Now the funny thing is I spent a little bit of money on this new computer, got Vista because I didn't have a choice and didn't think I'd need to spend the extra $200 for Microsoft Office. Great move, I have NO word processing program on this thing. So I have no TOU for this. I don't think it's gonna be too much of an issue. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how many of you think it's good enough to use. So here's my TOU: This is for personal use only. Please do not post the link, send your friends here to download. Here is a layout I did with the overlay (altered obviously) and the kit that Andrea from Boyersville Scraps sent me. I really like this kit and Andrea did a great job on it. The couple in the photo is a friend from the campground daughter and son in law. They held the reception down at the campground and I turned myself into the "official photographer".

I think that the word art on it really is ringing true with me today. My cousin, Jett's bf was in a horrible motorcycle accident last night and is critical condition. They just had a little boy and things have been tough for them. When I asked her what she needed, all she could say is "I need him". It's unfortunate that sometimes it takes a tragedy to bring things back into focus. Definitely makes my troubles seem insignificant. So tell your loved ones how much you love them everyday. Tell your friends how much they mean to you.

What an awesome scrappin week

Good morning.

I read a post somewhere this week that said Karma will sometimes bite you in the butt. Well I also believe that Karma will rain sunshine down on you too. I don't know what I did in the scrapping world, but I've had some wonderful things happen to me in the last week. I guess it's to make up for things in life that aren't going so well right now. Let me share with you my scrapping week excitement.

1. Fantacy asked me to be a member of her Scrappin Hillbilly Sweetpea Designs CT

2. Cate asked if I wanted to be a part of the Scrappers Daily Dose CT

3. I won the Queen of Chatterbox contest over at Scrapbook-Bytes and got what basically was like a kid in the candy store prize, 9 GC to designers store and I went on a shopping spree.

4. Yen gave me this and now I need to pay it forward.

5. Andrea (Boyervillescraps) made a killer blinkie for me too, but I need her to email it to me, for what ever reason I can't seem to pull it off her page. And then she made a mini kit for me. Just because I enjoy her blog. Isn't that just the sweetest.

6. ScrapPraise is now holding weekly contests sponsored by the designer of the week. Last weeks designer was Kelly Sauvage who sells out of KB & Friends and does the most amazing vintage feel kits. Well I got a $5 GC from her store. I haven't used it yet, because there are so many great things and I'm having a tough time deciding. But I think I'm going to go with this. It's called Olde World Santa. I love vintage Santa's! But I don't have any heritage photos from Christmas' of my childhood. But who cares, I'll make my current photos look old. 7. And yesterday while I was at work, I found out that ScrapbookBytes made me the featured member of the week. I got a cool blinkie, you can see it to the left, up top. Now this moved me to tears. I've only been scrapping for over 3 months, and SBB was one of the first places I posted an intro to. Immediately I had several people PM me with helpful hints about where to find freebies and tuts. If I had a question, there were always several people who had an answer. When I put up my first layout (and it was horrible) they saw the potential not the mistakes. I have made sooooooo many friends over there. It's my home and I love it there. If you haven't checked it out, please do so.

I've neglected my Buckeyes here lately. What a game they had last night, stomping all over Purdue. And it was supposed to be a tough game? And with Stanford beating USC and Illinois beating Wisconsin, there's gonna be a shake up in the BCS polls and the Big Ten standings. Go Bucks!!!!!!

I checked my regulars for freebies today. It looks like either a slow day or everyone slept in late. I know I did, it was 9:30 when I got up. :) Here's the few I found. If you download it, remember to leave some lovin.

Thank God it's Saturday! Even though I still have to go into work today, it's a short day- only 4 hours and it's OT. I had a few minutes this morning, so I thought I'd go ahead and get this going. The thing is, not too many of my regulars have posted their blogs yet. Guess they believe in sleeping in on Saturday mornings. I envy them. :)

Look what Yen sent me. Isn't she just the sweetest!!!!! You should check out her blog - here Not only is she sweet, but she's an awesome photographer, a fabulous scrapper, wonderful mommy who's also preggers now but her blog is wonderful. There's so much on it. Don't just read the first post, read them all. I'm going to think on who to pass this along to. I know a few, but want to make sure I don't forget anyone. Check back tomorrow to see who I nominate.

I was able to work on a couple of layouts. I've had such creative block lately it seems and I've not been happy with anything I create. I'm still not sure about these, but since they're in the gallery at SBB, I've taken the plunge. Thought I'd share them here to.

Flergs (megan) left a comment yesterday that she didn't know what a Buckeye was. I'm sure that there are several people who don't. The Buckeye is the official tree of the State of Ohio and it has a nut that falls off it. For some reason, way back when college football first started, The Ohio State University chose that as it's mascot. So when I say I'm a Buckeye, I'm a proud supported of the Ohio State football team. (They have another night game tonight vs. Purdue). Now I grew up in Michigan, my family still lives there and are big U of M fans. We did a family photo with them in U of M gear and me & my BF in our Ohio State shirts. My niece looked just so adorable in her little cheerleader outfit, that I could easily overlook the colors on it. hehehehe Anyway, the layout above was made with Miss Tiina's Vibrant Pack papers, also one of the MANY items chosen as part of my prize pack from SBB. The swirls are by Lori Wiley - Diamante Designs, another goodie.

A small chat list

So my plans for the weekend were abruptly changed. I know that there are several chats going on this weekend. So I decided to do a chat list. Now it was easy to find the ones going on at the communities that I participate in, but finding info on chats at other sites wasn't easy at all.
